With this book Dr. Steve Sang-Cheol Moon gives readers an inside look at churches and institutions that have been behind that movement, documenting this lesser-known part of the story. No one is better suited to research and tell that part of the story than Dr. Moon. For decades he has been internationally recognized as one of Korea’s leading missiologists, best known for his quantitative studies documenting and analyzing developments in the Korean global mis
sion movement. With this volume, his research shifts to a qualitative inquiry examining Korean churches and institutions that have been central in fueling that movement. Based upon interviews and data gathered from 20 missional communities, including churches, seminaries, and mission-related institutions, a richer picture emerges. Concise microhistories illustrate and document the personal commitments and dynamics behind each organization.
