The result is a generation of tourism marketing practitioners who can confidently apply the 7Ps to a European city-break product or design an Instagram campaign for an Australian eco-lodge — but who are genuinely uncertain how to adapt these frameworks when they encounter Chinese travelers booking through Ctrip, Korean travelers researching through Naver Blog, or Gulf families whose travel decision involves extended family consultation, halal hospitality requirements, and face-affirming luxury expectations.
The frameworks we teach shape the strategies our graduates design. If those frameworks assume a Western traveler as the default, our graduates will design strategies that systematically under-serve and under-reach the culturally diverse global traveler population.
